The story of the Strout family name is the story of Massachusetts, of Cape Cod, specifically Truro and Eastham; it’s the story of Maine, especially Cape Elizabeth and Falmouth.
The Strout story is the story of Brooklyn, San Francisco, even the South.
It’s a story of sailors and whalers, of writers and fighters. Our legacy is the Strout name – we have no choice but to analyze it, honor it and ensure its continued meaning for future generations.
Join us as we piece together our origins and try to reclaim our rightful place in the story of America.
